The National Fund for Women is a membership-supported organization that provides immediate, practical support for women while building collective power to make our needs impossible to ignore. We're here to make everyday life a little easier—and to build a future where women receive the support and attention they deserve.

Membership is open to any individual who is 18 or older and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. We are a mission-driven organization focused on improving the quality of life for women, and we welcome anyone who chooses to be part of that mission and community. Simply put, we’re a place for women and people who love them.

National Fund for Women membership provides financial relief, everyday cost savings, and a community where you feel supported. As a member, you’ll have access to redeemable perks and discounts, daily drops at the Zero Dollar Store, and monthly microgrants to get by and get ahead. Members also receive exclusive content from the NFW team and invitations to events and community activations. At NFW, we want our members to feel seen and supported in their everyday lives, while knowing they are part of a collective building power for women everywhere. Membership starts at just $1.25 per month ($15 billed annually) to help sustain the community and expand our impact. Founding members join for $100 a year and leave the door open for five other women to join with sponsored memberships. No matter which membership tier you join, you’re supporting women simply by belonging. We never want financial hardship to keep women from joining us. If the $15 annual dues feel out of reach, sign up for our free waitlist and we’ll let you know when a sponsored membership is available. If you don’t hear from us for a while, we promise we haven’t forgotten you. The waitlist process takes time and we’re committed to getting back to you as soon as we can.

We offer two membership tiers to meet women where they are: Contributing Members join for $1.25 per month ($15 billed annually). This low annual contribution helps fund our programs and deliver a membership that meets your needs. Founding Members join for $100 per year. This higher level of support gives members with extra means a way to amplify their impact by sponsoring free membership for five other women. Both tiers are grounded in the same goal: building a stronger, more supportive future for women.

Absolutely. You can cancel at any time with no cancellation fees and no questions asked. Your benefits will continue until the end of your current billing period. Please note that your membership will auto-renew on the anniversary of your sign up date every year.

Yes—membership is flexible by design. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. We know financial circumstances change, and we want your membership to reflect what’s possible for you at any given moment. If you’re ever able to increase your support, it helps us reach more women, more quickly.

Yes! Visit our Gift Membership page to get started. You can purchase a “gift code” that is valid for one year at the Contributing Member level. You can then text or email the code to the recipient and they will be able to sign up from there! You can purchase up to 10 individual gift codes at a time.

Microgrants are small-dollar grants ($100 - $5,000) designed to provide fast, flexible financial relief for women facing economic pressures, unexpected costs, or seeking capital to stabilize or improve their economic future.

The National Fund for Women provides microgrants to members whose needs match the grants we offer each month–ranging from overdue bills, to fun family outings, to seed money for your small business. NFW microgrants are open to any individual who is 18 or older and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. While we prioritize funding for women, we do not discriminate on the basis of sex and consider all eligible applicants consistent with our mission. NFW microgrants are intended for individuals to support their day to day life, we do not grant funds to organizations or companies.

Yes, you can apply for up to three grants in the same month. However, you can only be approved for one grant per month.

You can only apply for microgrants that address your own needs. A few times each year we will open nomination-only microgrants to pay it forward to women who may be hesitant to raise their hand or who aren’t yet part of our community. Keep an eye out for those opportunities!

Our microgrant program is intentionally designed to be simple, fast and low stress. Applications focus on the basics — who you are and what you’re navigating right now. When reviewing applications, our team considers urgency, the barriers an applicant is facing, and the potential for the grant funds to meaningfully improve their current situation. Because financial pressure doesn’t look just one way, we don’t rely on rigid definitions of need. Our model is built to support women across economic circumstances — trusting women to raise their hand when they need support, and getting resources to them quickly, without unnecessary friction or gatekeeping. Every complete application is reviewed by the NFW team.

If selected, we will require identity verification and then your funds will be sent directly to you through a secure payment via Stripe.

Microgrants open on the 1st and close on the 22nd of every month. All applicants will be notified if they are approved or not approved on the last day of the month.

Due to high volume, not every application will be approved. We encourage you to apply again next month.

Yes! If someone you nominate who isn’t a member of the National Fund for Women is approved for the grant, they will be sent an email with instructions on how to claim their funds, including signing up to become a member.

The perks program is a cost savings platform that provides redeemable discounts for everyday life – from food & groceries, to travel, to clothing & accessories.

There are thousands of perks to browse – from dining, to home goods, to travel and so much more. Our perks are designed for everyday life, so there's something for everyone! Become a member and browse all perks offerings.

Savings will depend on each member and the perks they choose to use. Members have the potential to save up to $2,500 per year through the perks program.

Click on the perk you'd like to redeem. You'll then see a pop up window that includes the expiration date, nearby locations (if applicable), and a section at the bottom to "Redeem this offer." Depending on the selected perk, you will see one or more of the following options: Redeem Online, Redeem by Phone, Redeem In-Store, or Print Coupon. Once you select the option that is best for you, your perk is redeemed! Not ready to use your perk right away? All your perk redemptions can be found on your member dashboard, including expiration dates and instructions.

Perks do expire. Each perk will clearly state the expiration date.

Yes! Once a perk you’ve redeemed has expired, you can redeem it again.

Our perks are driven by our members. We add or remove perks, including seasonal or limited-time-only deals so that you can maximize savings from your NFW membership.

The Zero Dollar Store is an online shop with zero price tags. Ranging from daily drops of practical, everyday items to surprise and delight nice-to-haves, the Zero Dollar Store is putting resources directly into the hands of our members at zero cost.

The Zero Dollar Store is open to all members and operates like any other online store, minus the price tags – you browse, add an available item to checkout, and get it shipped to you at no cost. Members are limited to one item per month. Items will be dropped daily, at various times of day. Make sure you’re checking the store frequently to snag what you want!

To shop at the Zero Dollar Store, all you need to do is become a National Fund for Women member. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll have full access to browse, shop, and claim items at the Zero Dollar Store.

Once you claim an item, you will be prompted to fill out your shipping information. Your item will then be shipped to you in 7-10 business days at no cost to you.

Nope! Shipping costs will be covered by the National Fund for Women for all Zero Dollar Store items.

Everyday items you were already planning to buy, plus treats or splurges that you’ve had your eye on. Some things are practical. Some are just nice to have. Both matter. To join the National Fund for Women, we ask for your name, email, phone number, address, and income. Why income? This is a helpful data point for us as we’re designed to serve women across economic circumstances. We know financial pressure shows up in different ways – and often invisibly – and this helps us track women’s needs over time. Some programs – like microgrants – may ask for a bit more information so we can better understand your needs and connect you with the right support. Sharing additional details is always optional, and you’re in control at every step.
